Hello experts,

transport error- communication failure
this is what the user go when they try to login to the client isntall for editing reports (cyrstal reports XI R2 version )

windows 2003 server is where the bo is installed on. SQL Server 2000 is where the CMS database is on

BO XI R2 Vesion..

logged a ticket with the vendor and was suggested to post in these forums as they did not have a ready made solution based on past issues and or they are not authorized to help on old issues

Any inputs are appreciated.

Hello Ramma,

These errors are usually related to firewall/router issues.

Check with your network team that the port 6400 is open between the CR Client and the BO Server.

Hi Ramma,

SAP Notes search in SMP should allow you to find several Notes (KB's) on the similar problems and on how to configure CR reports in a firewalled environments.
