Do we need to recreate Security after BI 4.0 upgrade from BO 3.1?
Hi all,
Do we need to recreate Security and Authorizations after BI 4.0 upgrade from BO 3.1? or will the Upgrade Management Tool import the roles into BI4.0 during upgrade process from BO 3.1 to BI 4.0? Thanks, Ramma

Hi Ramma,
There are slight changes to the security from XI 3.1 to BI4. In generell most of the Security will be taken over, especially if you used the default Access Levels. Maybe you have to modify some of your custom Access Levels an BI4. Regards, Mirna

Hello Ramma,
You don't need to rebuild security, but you still may want to. The XI 3.1 system I'm working on right now consolidated CE10 and XI R2. There are lots of use of advanced rights and abuse of the Everyone group. Plus, security was not revisited during the XI 3.1 uprade. Best regards, Golfi
