Hi all,
A colleague of mine has a query on his client site and was asking me for help, but it's a topic I've had no exposure to before. Briefly, they have an ERP 6.0 system with 2 clients, one of them is a demo and the other is connected to a BI system. This system was recently upgraded and the old demo client has been frozen and copied to a back-up client 900. For a running project they have to execute a demo at the moment and for that demo they need a connection between the back-up client and the BW client. My guess is that the saved client 900 must have been upgraded as well and should be working - all that is required is to make the (re)connection with the BI system. If the above is correct, has anyone any info on how to make such a connection - SAP Notes, tips & hints, sites that may have links that expand on a solution? Thanks! |

If both client are on the same system, they share the same programs, so, all you need to do is to create the system in RSA1 in your BW system mapping to your ECC's client 900.

Hey Portal,
Thanks for that. Will let my colleague know and we'll see how he gets on. Cheers, Micro |
