Hello gurus,
I'm working on the implemenation of the AP module in BW. Little confused with the number of tables involved in each query. For example, for VENDOR MASTER, Based on the requirement, data need to be pulled from LFA1, SZA1_D0100, LFB1, LFBW, LFM1, WYT3, TPART, WRFO2K. Now, what is the best way to go forward? Please advise, is that good thing to create a generic datasource and pull and the fields from different tables into one or use line item datasource 0FI_AP_4 and enhance and add all the fields into one? Please provide a detailed solution. Thanks in advance! Zoom |

Hi Zoom,
The best practice should be using the given standard content 0fi_ap_4 datasource; But first indentify what reports/transactions you want to implement in BI . Say FBL1N i.e vendor line item display then 0fi_ap_4 should be able to give all the information required, if there are any fields missing you can accordingly enhance the datasource. You need not create generic datasource pulling the information from different tables. Rima, thanks for your quick response.
Currently for Vendor Line Item Query, the end users are using the FBL1N and when i checked the fields and their related transactions tables, i found the data being pulled from mutltple T-tables. As you suggested, i can use the 0FI_AP_4, and enhance the datasource and bring all the fields from different tables by writing User-Exits. But by doing so, will it not slow down the loading process ? Is that practically fine to go head and enhance 0FI_AP_4 and bring all the fields from multiple tables into one? Please suggest. Thanks and regards, Zoom |
